Congratulations to you and your family for escaping the horrible criminal lifestyle of the past as my family have. While most of the traditions themselves are wonderful, the crimes and negative rituals associated with them were not. It's interesting that our families are connected in such a way.

I managed to pass Italian 1, but my Sicilian is still better. Not that I am truly fluent in either, mind you.

I lean libertarian on plenty of issues, drugs, gambling, prostitution, et cetera.

That said, the War on Drugs was Nixon's fault. He started it. Reagan was only guilty of trying to make it work, rather than coming up with a more realistic approach.

And in the twenty years since Reagan, nobody's come up with anything better.

I do lean libertarian...and if I'm honest with myself Reagan is low on the list....but he was the most well known of the presidents I love. I love his stance on non-reliance on government, and laissez-faire stance on economics. I do not enjoy his war on drugs, Contra..., and the rest of the more republican of his stances.

Sweet Tea is incredible...and my state is the first to grow tea in America.

Aren't you a libertarian?

Odd that you would put Reagan #1.

Nothing there that I can really disagree with, although we northerners are unable to comprehend the fascination with sweet tea.

Hi there -I saw your LJ username on conservatism, and went to check you out. My great-grandfather was also from Castellammare del Golfo, and was a friend and advisor to Joe Bonnano, both in NY and in Arizona. In the TV biography that was made of him 10 or so years ago, you can see my grandparents as guests at his daughter's wedding. My mom's Aunt Rose was also Seamstress to the Mob, and lots of people in that generation were involved in different ways. My grandparents moved to California to get away from the mob influence in the family, and they succeeded in doing so. Just wanted to say hi since we obviously have some things in common. I like your Sicilian titles there -- I speak Italian, but not Sicilian. Ci vediamo :)

Coldplay?

What a fruit you are, Mikey.

Then again, you have a Tom Cruise movie where he dances in his underwear.

Quake 2 is definitely a top ten, but fuck Counterstrike.

Wow...some odd choices there. Good lists though.

Letterman sucks.

Have you read Anthem? Ayn Rands best book in my opinion.

Never would have took you for a Seuss fan.
